Copyright & Takedown

Last updated 9 October 2026

Authors own their work. We respect intellectual property rights and expect everyone who publishes on Ink Atlas to do the same.

Only publish what is yours

Publish only work you wrote or have written permission to publish. Do not upload another author's book, translation or fan work you do not have the right to distribute. Many books in the catalogue are listings for discovery only; they link out and do not contain the text.

If someone has published your work without permission

Send a notice to hello.codaria@gmail.com, or use the Report button and choose "Copyright". Please include:

  1. Your name and contact details.
  2. A description of your original work, with a link to it where possible.
  3. The Ink Atlas page (link) where the material appears.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made truthfully, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the right or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your signature (typing your full name is fine).

When we receive a valid notice we will promptly suspend the material and tell the author. We may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

If your work was removed by mistake

The author can reply with a counter-notice to hello.codaria@gmail.com explaining why the material is not infringing (for example, that you own it or have permission). If the person who complained does not start legal action within a reasonable period, we may restore the work. Sending a false notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences.
